Commentary

A bookshelf type speaker system developed as a representative speaker of dynamic and bright parts of Yamaha such as FX-1 and NS 890.

A 30 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
The cone section is made from the beating of pulp and finished in a conical type with corrugation in order to suppress split vibration by pressing. It is combined with a long voice coil wound with copper ribbon wire edgewise winding and a damper with consideration of material and impregnation agent to improve the linearity during Dainyu force.
In addition, a ferrite magnet of 120 φ mm / 2.3 kg is used for the magnetic circuit to obtain a magnetic flux density of 12,000 gauss and a total magnetic flux of 140,900 maxwell. In addition, the center pole is covered with a copper cap to reduce the generation of magnetic distortion, thereby reducing the third harmonic distortion.
In addition, strong aluminum die-cast is used for the frame.

Equipped with 12 cm cone type skoker in the middle area.
The cone paper is made of materials carefully selected by hearing, and the voice coil is wound with copper ribbon wire with high space factor and heat-resistant treatment, ensuring sufficient stability against excessive input.
The magnetic circuit uses a 100 φ mm / 1.3 kg ferrite magnet with a total magnetic flux of 14,000 gauss and 75,000 maxwell.
It uses an aluminum die-cast frame similar to the woofer and is firmly fixed to the baffle.

A 3-cm dome type tweeter using beryllium diaphragm is mounted in the high frequency range.
A beryllium diaphragm has been realized by a new system applying the electron beam vacuum deposition method used in semiconductor manufacturing technology, and the purity of beryllium is extremely high at 99.99%.
The dome-shaped beryllium diaphragm is directly connected with a heat-resistant aluminum ribbon edgewise wound voice coil, which is supported by a special fiber tangential edge with double coating of viscoelastic resin and thermosetting resin.
The magnetic circuit uses a ferrite magnet with a flux density of 14,500 gausss and a total flux density of 20,950 maxwell.

The crossover frequency of the network is determined not only by checking the electrical characteristics but also by cut-and-try using the sense of hearing.
The coil is made of Holemar wire with low DC resistance wound on a bobbin containing silicon steel plate. The coils are placed at right angles with each other at appropriate distances to reduce mutual inductance.
We have also adopted MP capacitors with superior acoustic sensitivity.

The Tweeter and Skoker are equipped with continuously variable level control.

The enclosure is a fully enclosed bookshelf with a shiny oak surface.
The entire surface is made of the same particleboards.
