Commentary
225 series tall boy speaker system.
Two newly developed 8 cm cone type woofers are installed in the lower range, and the configuration is twin drive.
PMD (Polymer Injected Mica Diaphargm) cone is used for the diaphragm. This diaphragm has achieved ideal internal loss and high elastic modulus with light weight and high rigidity by mixing 30% of the highest quality white mica. In addition, foamed EPDM edge is used for the edge part to achieve 40% weight reduction while ensuring sufficient strength.
A 3-cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm is a DC-diaphragm (Direct Coupled Diaphragm) made of aluminum magnesium alloy. In the DC-diaphragm, the diaphragm and voice coil bobbin are integrally molded to reduce the overall weight of the vibration system.
A bass reflex system is adopted for the enclosure, and a twin bass reflex port is adopted for the bass reflex port.
The front baffle is wider than the rear baffle to eliminate internal standing waves that cause sound quality degradation. In addition, by cutting the corner of the front baffle diagonally, harmful diffraction phenomenon is reduced and clearer and more beautiful sound is obtained.
There were 2 color variations of cherry and white wood for finishing of the exterior.
It has a real wood veneer finish with the same polyurethane open pore coating as high-grade wood pianos.
It is equipped with a large steel foot plate.
The input terminal uses a gold-plated brass machined speaker terminal.
