Commentary
Based on CD-1, this CD player has been refined in terms of sound quality, functions and operability.
Uses a high-precision 1-beam optical head.
The single-beam optical head, which has little degradation in high-frequency characteristics, is equipped with a phase-detection-type tracking servo and Yamaha's original gain-switching focus servo to obtain tracing capability. It is also equipped with an auto-lock that automatically returns even when out focus is applied to achieve high-precision tracing.
The D/A conversion section uses an independent twin D/A converter for both left and right channels, so that both channels are demodulated in phase to achieve more accurate conversion.
The low-pass filter uses an 11th-order high-precision filter using a high-quality polypropylene film capacitor.
In addition to cutting frequencies of 20 kHz or more sharply, a phase compensation pocket warmer is installed to achieve both sound quality and characteristics.
The power supply circuit employs a separate power supply system to eliminate interference between analog and digital circuits. Low-noise power is supplied to the D/A converter and analog circuits, which have a significant impact on sound quality.
The high-performance line filter ensures that digital noise does not affect the CD-1a itself or peripheral devices.
Equipped with a 10-key system and four microcomputers, the degree of freedom of key operation is improved.
This allows quick music selection and program playback, monitor one touch phrase section setting, phrase section adjustment, transfer of monitor set phrases, fade in & out of phase playback, and other operations.
In addition, you can skip playback, monitor search, space set, repeat playback, and time display.
