Commentary
An FM/AM tuner that improves sound quality from pursuit of waveform transmission.
The front-end section uses a linear frequency varicon, a high-frequency low-noise transistor, and an excellent local coil to achieve more faithful frequency conversion.
In the IF stage, two ceramic filters of two element type with emphasis on group delay characteristics are used to improve sound quality, and selectivity and SN ratio are improved by a highly integrated monolithic IC and a differential limiter amplifier configuration.
The MPX stage is equipped with a PLL system that realizes excellent separation characteristics and a double differential switching system that has flat frequency characteristics from high to low frequencies.
In addition, high-density ICs corresponding to 132 elements are used for the switching circuit and oscillation circuit to improve reliability.
A Cebi Czech type low-pass filter with a phase delay time of 5.5 μ s is adopted in the latter part of the MPX section to realize excellent characteristics and faithful waveform transmission.
The AF part uses a 2-stage direct connection circuit with a stabilized power supply.
The AM tuner uses a frequency linear type varicon and high-integration IC.
Equipped with MPX High Blend Switch to reduce noise in FM stereo reception with weak input signal.
It is equipped with an FM muting switch that can cut noise between stations.
Multi-path waveform observation oscilloscope terminal and FM4ch MPX out terminal are mounted.
