A 24bit/96kHz D/A converter for HDCD.

The D/A converter employs a one chip 8-times oversampling Δ ∑ D/A converter IC compatible with 24bit/96kHz and HDCD manufactured by Bar Brown, and is controlled by a microcomputer.

The buffer circuit is a double buffer circuit consisting of a MOS-FET and a vacuum tube, and is designed to be used according to user's preference.
The vacuum tube buffer is single-stage amplified by a small twin triode 12AU7A single-sided unit, and the cathode follower output by the remaining single-sided unit. In addition, a small line transformer with a permalloy core is used for the output stage to adjust the gain and improve sound quality.
The MOS-FET buffer circuit consists of three stages of amplification, two stages of source follower and one stage of amplifier and filter.

Both buffer circuits are compatible with HDCD.

The power supply section is equipped with two toroidal transformers to separate the digital and analog systems to obtain a sufficient power supply and eliminate interference between the and circuits.

A design is adopted in which the edge of the acrylic plate installed on the top plate is irradiated with the luminescent color.
The light emission color can be changed freely with each RGB button switch.

The vacuum tube socket does not use an ordinary socket, but uses a newly developed vacuum tube socket that plugs directly into the printed circuit board.
