Commentary
200 series FM/AM tuners.
The front-end section uses a frequency linear 5-row varicon.
In addition, the circuit uses a dual-gate MOS-FET and a J-FET to obtain excellent interference rejection characteristics, and has passed severe tests in the United States with excellent data.
Two full-fledged crystal filters are used for the IF stage, and together with a high-gain IC, the capture ratio of 1.0 dB, which is excellent at that time, is realized.
FET is used in the muting circuit to shut out local tube noise and noise at the time of tuning and detuning.
Also, the muting level can be adjusted so that the level can be selected according to the electric field strength.
A hybrid IC is used in the switching circuit of the MPX to achieve stable operation.
The 36dB/oct filter circuit is also integrated into an IC to eliminate beat interference.
The connector uses a full-scale 75 Ω connector that can directly connect a coaxial cable (3C-2V).
It is also compatible with 300 Ω impedance.
The AM tuner uses an FET at the high frequency stage and a mechanical filter at the intermediate frequency stage to realize a tuner that is resistant to strong electric fields.
Equipped with a TPI connector terminal that can be connected to the Total Performance Indicator AZ-200.
The AZ-200 allows tuning and multipath detection.
