Commentary

The S-Series small speaker system is a further matured unit and enclosure.

The unit is equipped with a 2-way coaxial speaker combining a 13 cm cone woofer and a 2.5 cm soft dome tweeter.
By using polypropylene cone for the woofer part, moderate internal loss, high rigidity and high input resistance are realized. By combining newly developed rubber edge, calm sound quality is obtained. In addition, by coating two kinds of emulsion on the tetron base for the diaphragm of the tweeter part, good high frequency response is obtained.
Both the woofer and tweeter use OFHC (oxygen-free copper ・ 4N) for the edgewise voice coil of high-density winding, and it is compatible with the wide dynamic range of digital source. In addition, the magnetic circuit of the woofer is equipped with a large strontium verlite magnet (100 mm φ x15mm thickness), one of the largest in class. The double magnet cancels magnetic leakage, and the shield cap is equipped with double anti-magnetic specifications.
The frame uses a monocoque frame made of polycarbonate and ultra-heat-resistant ABS to reduce vibration modes and eliminate adverse effects on sound.

In the network section, the parts used are taken into consideration. The electrolytic capacitor is dipped with a special rubber damping material and integrated with a 1 mm thick copper tube, and an air-core choke coil is used for the coil.

The enclosure is made of carefully selected high fiber density Chinese wood. The rear and front baffles are 13 layers and 18 mm thick, and the side plates are 9 layers and 12 mm thick. Multi-layer plywood is applied to emphasize the beautiful sound of Chinese wood. The rear duct bass reflex system prevents the interference of sound waves from the front.
The mesh-type mold grill protecting the unit is damped with special rubber and the exterior is finished with Nordic Linden Realwood finish with a special European tone multi-layer coating.

A banana plug terminal is used for the speaker terminal.
