Commentary
Stereo cassette deck with CA (cobalt, amorphous) head and dbx.
A CA head is used for the head.
This is a 13-layer laminate structure made of an amorphous alloy that can be made thinner than ordinary alloys with a crystal structure. This structure increases specific resistance (ρ), reduces eddy current loss, and improves high-frequency characteristics.
It is equipped with dbx NR which is a professional standard noise reduction system developed by American company dbx.
The system consists of ultra-precision electronic circuits that compress the dynamic range of the input signal to 1/2dB during recording and precisely double the signal during playback, reducing the tape hissing by 30-40 dB.
In addition, V-450X is equipped with Dolby B and CNR.
11-dot 2-color LED peak level meter, Rec Mute for silent space, slide-type recording fader, recording mode indicator, timer standby for both Rec Play, headphone output and microphone input.
