Commentary
This is a 2-motor type cassette deck that pursues ideal sound quality beyond the frame of the cassette.
The operation part uses push button operation. The push button stroke is 2 mm, and a highly reliable micro switch is used.
The logic control allows direct change from any mode to any mode.
The mechanism section employs a 2-meter mechanism with dedicated motors for both constant speed running and quick winding. This simplifies the transmission mechanisms such as pulleys and idlers and improves durability.
For constant speed running, we have adopted a PLL servo DC motor that controls the rotation of the motor by comparing the phase of the AC signal from a frequency generator (FG) directly connected to the motor with the AC signal from an independent reference oscillator. This enables stable running that is resistant to load fluctuations and temperature changes.
The peak level meter uses a detection circuit that employs a double-wave rectification method so that even real music signals with asymmetric signs can indicate peaks appropriately.
In the A-650, the indication range of the scale is expanded to -40dB by logarithmic compression so that low-level signals can be monitored. In addition, it has a full-scale circuit configuration with an attack time of 10 ms and a recovery time of 750 ms.
Equipped with a Rec Mute function. If you press the Rec Mute button during recording, silent recording will continue until you press the Pause or Play button.
Timer recording is possible by combining with a commercially available audio timer.
On the A-650, timer playback is possible by setting the Timer switch to Play.
It has a built-in memory counter. If you preset the counter to 000 in advance, it automatically switches to stop / play at the position of 999 when rewinding.
Equipped with a bias and equalizer independent switching mechanism that can obtain a dedicated position suitable for each type of Chrome, FerriChrome and Hi-Fi.
A-650 is compatible with 3 types of tapes by independent 3-stage switching.
The microphone and line volumes are provided independently, allowing mixing of the microphone and line.
Equipped with a mono / stereo switching mechanism linked to My Kujac. When recording monaural with one microphone, plug the jack into the microphone jack of the L channel to automatically divide the signal to left and right and use it as a center microphone.
Equipped with a limiter circuit to prevent sound quality degradation by naturally attenuating the signal when an excessive input is applied.
Equipped with a Dolby system that reduces tape hiss.
Uses an HD ferrite head with excellent wear resistance.
It uses oil dump eject and can be opened and closed softly.
Uses a removable cassette holder cover for easy maintenance.
