Commentary
Based on the A-460 mechanism and amplifier circuit, this is a cassette deck equipped with a well-selected mechanism.
The mechanism uses a PLL servo DC motor. This mechanism has the same design as A-460 except for the pause mechanism.
By combining the timer sold separately, timer recording and alarm clock playback are possible.
Since the pinch roller and idler are separated during standby, there is no excessive burden on the mechanism. In addition, since the mechanism is automatically released when the tape is wound and the power is turned off at the same time, it can be used as a rest switch.
In order to bring out the characteristics of Chrome tape, Ferrichrome tape and low noise tape, a 3-stage switching mechanism with independent bias and equalizer is installed.
Equipped with a Dolby system that reduces tape hiss.
Equipped with a microphone / line input switching mechanism that brings out the Dolby effect.
Equipped with a peak level indicator to warn of excessive input.
HD ferrite head is used for the head.
