Commentary
A linear tracking type full auto player equipped with a biotracer.
An electronically controlled tone arm, Biotracer, is used to suppress low-frequency resonance, to improve cross-modulation distortion and crosstalk, and to provide excellent tracking performance against record warping and eccentricity.
Using a linear tracking method, the tracking error of the arm is detected by a velocity sensor and fed back to the driving motor. As a result, the tracking error is reduced to one tenth of that of an offset tone arm.
Linear BSL motor is used for the rotating system.
With one start button, the turntable part is stored and the performance starts with a full auto mechanism.
Manual operation is also possible by pulling out the turntable part.
A quick repeat mechanism is employed for the repeat operation, in which the arm does not return to the rest position and the performance immediately resumes from the head of the record.
It uses an optoelectronic disc size selector that automatically selects the record size and allows the tone arm to lead in accurately.
In addition, even if you press the start button without setting the record board, the tone arm does not drop and it is equipped with a safety mechanism that does not damage the needle tip.
Equipped with a muting mechanism that cuts the output until the needle tip comes down and eliminates noise when the record board and needle tip contact.
During loading of the turntable part, if the operation is obstructed by an obstacle, it stops for approximately 10 seconds and returns to the original position.
Uses unified standard plug-in type shell connector for easy cartridge replacement.
In addition, the cartridge is equipped with XL-250G, a high compliance MM type cartridge with weight, needle pressure and shell plug design based on the unified standard.
The cabinet is made of strong SBMC material with sufficient internal loss.
For all operations except the power switch, all feather touch operation by the seat key switch is adopted.
Synchronized play with Sony's cassette deck is possible with the separately sold synchronized remote control.
