Commentary
The MD deck is 280 mm wide, the same as Sony's New Pixie series of personal components.
The A/D converter is equipped with an over-sampling 1-bit A/D converter, and the D/A converter is equipped with a hybrid pulse D/A converter with a built-in noise-shaping digital filter. By simply pressing the record button, you can automatically find the unrecorded part and record it.
You can also record from the beginning of the song you want to delete or from the middle of any song.
It is equipped with a smart space function that automatically adjusts to approximately 3 seconds when there is more than 3 seconds of silence between songs during digital recording.
Equipped with the TOC EDIT function, you can perform operations such as COMBINE to convert two consecutive songs into one song, DIVIDE to divide one song into two, MOVE to change the order of songs arbitrarily, and ERASE to erase specific songs.
In addition, DIVIDE and COMBINE have a rehearse function that can adjust edit points in approximately ± 60 ms steps.
By using the multi-jog dial or remote control, you can enter a title of up to approximately 1,700 characters per disc in the title and disc name.
The FL display for displaying the title is 12 characters long, and when it is 13 characters or more, the title is scrolled from right to left.
Equipped with a multi-jog dial, you can start playing by pressing the dial at the number of songs you want to listen to, play a program by arranging songs in the order you like, enter the title of each song, and operate TOC EDIT.
Optical digital input / output terminal is mounted.
The MDS-S35 only supports digital signals with a sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz.
In combination with the New Pixie Series, you can use functions such as linkage of the power supply, automatic input switching of the amplifier, timer recording / playback, and CD synchronized recording.
