Commentary
A CD player designed for high sound quality and ease of use.
The digital filter uses a 2 x oversampling digital filter to expand the frequency band between the music component and the unwanted noise component so that an analog filter with a moderate attenuation characteristic can be used at the later stage.
The servo circuit uses S-servo to predict the effects of disc contamination, etc. in advance, thereby reducing tracking errors and improving tracing capability. In addition, since the disturbance of servo current is also reduced, adverse effects on analog systems are minimized, and overall sound quality is improved.
The digital circuit uses a Unilinear converter system based on third generation LSI.
In this circuit, the digital filter, D/A converter and EFM demodulator LSIs are synchronized with one master clock to keep the analog sound quality clear.
All of these LSIs were developed specifically for CDs. By increasing the integration density, peripheral circuits have been simplified and reliability has been improved.
Newly developed optical unit is adopted for the mechanism part.
This mechanism is a lighter and more compact version of the 3-beam pickup and enables smoother access.
The power supply section uses a Line 5 stabilized power supply with independent digital, audio and other components.
We are also working to improve sound quality by combining it with an audio-only copper foil condenser, a non-magnetic oxygen-free copper heat sink, and an OFC power cord with polarity indication.
The newly developed vibration-proof mechanical deck and main circuit board are separated and fixed to the chassis to minimize the effect of the rotating system on the audio and digital circuits.
Equipped with a large insulator that blocks external vibration.
It uses a 4-color display with a 20-song music calendar.
It is equipped with functions such as shuffle play and RMS up to 20 songs.
You can repeat in 5 modes : 1 song / all songs / A-B / program / shuffle.
You can specify A-B repeat only from the remote control.
It is equipped with an autospace function that adjusts between songs for 3 seconds.
Equipped with an auto-start function that can be combined with an external timer to start playing at the desired time.
Equipped with a headphone jack with volume.
It is equipped with synchronized terminals and subcode output terminals that can be easily connected to Sony decks.
Wireless remote control is included.
