FM/AM tuner adopting quartz PLL synthesizer system.
Using a quartz PLL digital synthesizer, the microcomputer catches the target broadcasting station and locks the reception frequency with the accuracy of the crystal clock.
This method compares the phase between the frequency from the local oscillation circuit built into the front end and the accurate reference oscillation frequency of the synthesizer, and corrects any error instantly.
Equipped with SANSUI's original pure active drive loop system.
In this system, back-to-back type varicap is used to improve the ability to eliminate image interference of adjacent stations. In addition, a DC amplifier with a high S / N ratio is used to improve loop responsiveness and to improve the ability to correct errors when they occur. This DC amplifier is driven by an independent stabilized power supply, and switching noise is reduced by high-speed diode.
In addition, the varicap is driven by a voltage feed of frequency control impedance type, and the drive impedance is sufficiently low in the control region so that the SN ratio of the local oscillation does not deteriorate.
This pure active drive loop greatly improves noise performance.
A dual-gate MOS-FET is used at the top of the front-end, and a back-to-back type high-Q varicap is used to create a front-end configuration equivalent to four varicons, thereby improving the image interference rejection capability of adjacent stations.
The IF stage uses a ceramic filter with excellent group delay characteristics to achieve both high selectivity and low distortion, and the detection stage uses a quadrature detection method with double tune to ensure high SN ratio.
The amplifier section is equipped with a high-speed DC amplifier and a pilot cancel circuit.
With an emphasis on AM sound quality, it is equipped with a highly sensitive AM loop antenna that is resistant to noise.
It is equipped with a direct set function that allows you to enter the frequency of a broadcasting station directly with numbers.
Equipped with AM/FM10-station random preset tuning function.
Equipped with an auto-tuning system that can select channels in 2 patterns.
If you press the UP or DOWN switch hard, auto-tuning is activated. In this mode, the UP or DOWN switch stops as soon as it catches a broadcast station. If you keep pressing the switch, the UP or DOWN switch starts tuning again.
Manual tuning is performed by lightly pressing the UP or DOWN switch. In this mode, frequencies Up down in FM100kHz steps and AM1kHz steps, and the search LED turns off when a station is caught.
Equipped with Last One Memory, you can store the broadcasting station that was tuned before turning off the power switch.
This allows you to record your absence using the audio timer.
Equipped with a memory backup function, it can store for a long time even if the power cord is unplugged.
Equipped with an FM multipath indicator.
Equipped with an FM noise canceller.
Equipped with a calibration oscillator.
The power supply uses a fast recovery diode.
75 Ω F type coaxial antenna terminal and 300 Ω antenna brass input terminal are mounted.
There are 2 color variations of black and silver.
