FM/AM tuner with improved characteristics by adopting high-reliability exclusive IC for main circuit.
In the FM front-end, a dual-gate MOS type FET with less noise and distortion is used for the RF stage, and high sensitivity is obtained by combining it with a frequency linear type 3-row variable capacitor.
In addition, cross-modulation characteristics for high-level signals, such as in high-field regions, have been greatly improved by installing an antenna attenuator switch.
The FM IF stage is composed of two stages (four elements) of high-performance ceramic filters with excellent selectivity and wide bandwidth to improve selectivity and phase characteristics.
In addition, a dedicated monolithic IC is used for the limiter stage to eliminate unnecessary amplitude modulation components, resulting in high SN characteristics.
A highly integrated IC is used in the FM multiplex section to reproduce the composite signal from the detection stage with excellent separation.
The AM tuner section consists of a high-integration IC, a metal type, and a ceramic filter, and is designed with little distortion.
The dial face is treated with a special aluminum etching process that is corroded to leave the letters on the scale face, making it resistant to changes over time. In addition, a miniature light-emitting diode is used for the dial indicator.
Uses a back tension spring system for smooth tuning.
Constant tension is given to the dial thread to enable accurate tuning.
Equipped with a signal meter that shows the strength of radio waves and a center tuning meter that shows the accurate tuning point.
The power supply section supplies all circuits with a stabilized power supply by a constant voltage power supply circuit.
As a result, stable operation of each block stage is obtained.
The signal meter uses a linear meter method to indicate accurately in proportion to the input level.
FM noise can be cut by the noise canceler switch.
The FM antenna terminal is equipped for 300 Ω / 75 Ω coaxial.
Equipped with two output terminals.
The output level can be adjusted.
Equipped with a discriminator detection type FM muting, it detects the deviation from the tuning frequency and is a muting method in which no sound is produced until the distortion rate becomes less than a certain value.
Equipped with large grounding terminal and spare AC outlet.
It was equipped with a discriminator output terminal and was compatible with FM4ch broadcasting.
