Commentary
A stereo cassette deck with enhanced basic performance and operability.
Front operation type is adopted, and the tape inserted from the front is set at 30 ° inclination.
There is also an internal lighting lamp.
Permalloy solid head is used for the head.
In order to achieve low rotational unevenness, we have adopted an electronically controlled DC motor with large torque that is not affected by voltage fluctuations, and a high-precision capstan with roundness of 0.1 μ or less.
It is equipped with a tape selector. When a low-noise tape is used, both the bias and equalizer are set to the Normal position, and a chrome tape is set to the Chrome position, so that recording and playback characteristics match the characteristics of each tape can be obtained. The special equalizer circuit for chrome tape (with a time constant of 70 μ s) improves the S/N ratio in the high-frequency range by approximately 4.5 dB.
Since the bias and equalizer can be switched independently, the characteristics of the Ferri Chrome tape can also be derived by setting the bias to Normal and the equalizer to Chrome.
The Dolby system improves the S/N of the high-frequency range. It also includes an MPX filter that stabilizes the Dolby circuit during FM stereo recording.
Dolby The blue light is ON when the system is operating.
Equipped with a skip button to fast-forward at twice the speed while monitoring.
Uses a direct change operation lever that can be moved from FF/REW to Play without pressing the Stop button.
Equipped with a level meter (attack time is 200 mmsec or less)
Equipped with input level control and output level control.
It has a built-in standby mechanism capable of FM absence recording and alarm clock playback.
If a timer is connected, the mechanism is set to the recording (or playback) state, and the Pause lever is ON, it will start automatically at the desired time.
During standby, the pinch roller is separated from the capstan so that the mechanism and tape are not damaged.
There were CT-5 of normal model and CT-5D of white oak tone finish.
