OTARI MX7000series
Price unknown (around 1972)
Commentary
A tape deck developed for professionals.
3-motor 4-head configuration is adopted.
The head assembly can be replaced by a plug-in, and you can select your favorite recording format from 1 channel to 4 channels (synchronous playback is possible).
The capstan motor uses a specially designed 3-speed hysteresis synchronous motor.
Aluminum alloy is used for the base part of the mechanism to improve durability.
All transistors are used for the internal circuit.
There are six variations of the MX7000 depending on the recording method and head configuration, and four of them (MX7000-F, MX7000-H, MX7000-3X, MX7000-QX) were made to order.
