Commentary
Step-up transformer planned and designed for FR-7.
Toroidal transformer is adopted.
The core material of the toroidal transformer is a special permalloy molded like cellotape and floats from the outer shell with a special compound to protect it from mechanical impact.
The coil is wound thousands of times by passing it through this doughnut-shaped shell once at a time.
The FRT-5 has been further improved to eliminate impedance switching and to use only low impedance cartridges with coil impedance of 10 Ω or less for MC type cartridges.
The input jacks have a Route 3.
